Gongju Local Community’s Council for Ancient City Promotion and World Heritage Management

The civic body working in Gongju for the conservation and management of the Baekje Historic Areas is the Gongju Local Community’s Council for Ancient City Promotion and World Heritage Management. Representing the interests and opinions of the local community, the council consists of Gongu residents as regular members.

A regular meeting and board meeting at which public opinions are heard and decisions made are held every other month. Furthermore, a regular board meeting is held yearly; an extraordinary general meeting is held whenever the need arises; and a regular general meeting is held once a year to report the details of budget usage and business plans.

Buyeo Local Community’s Council for the World Heritage Management

The civic body in Buyeo supporting the conservation and management of the Baekje Historic Areas is the Buyeo Local Community’s Council for the World Heritage Conservation. The community consists of 60 people including professors, experts, and local residents having an interest in conservation and promotion of World Heritage. An inaugural meeting was hold in 27 October 2016 and the community is divided into three subcommittee : Academy, City landscape, Utilization and Promotion subcommittees.

Iksan Local Community’s Council for the World Heritage Conservation and Management

The civic body in Iksan taking charge of the conservation and management of Baekje Historic Areas is the Iksan Local Community’s Council for the World Heritage Conservation and Management. Representing the interests and opinions of the local community, the council holds the legal status of corporation and consists of residents of Iksan as regular members.

The council’s major activities are as follows:
